Deb and Akis lucked out...it rained early on Sunday (3/30/08) and looked pretty cloudy for the beginning of the day. They didn't really have a "backup plan" for the party, so we were all just praying that it would clear up. ...and clear up it did! Even the sun came out to celebrate with Sophia!
It was a Strawberry Shortcake party...so there were a lot of strawberries and a lot of red.

There was even a Strawberry Shortcake Jumper!
Guess who's old enough to enjoy it this year?
As for you, little one...keep standing up and workin' on those legs, maybe you can join Sophia NEXT year!
You know what you CAN do though? Pin the jewel on Strawberry Shortcake's crown (look at that belly! hahaha)!
It took a meeting o' the minds for Sophia to finally decide on where to stick her jewel - hahaha!
Then it was time for a Strawberry Hunt in the front yard!
Sophia's friend Carissa is so cute and smart for an almost-2-year-old! She didn't need ANY help with the Strawberry Hunt, she knew exactly what was going on, and how to play
After the Strawberry Hunt, it was pinata time! Sophia was a little timid about beatin' down poor Strawberry Shortcake!
But nooooot Carissa! hahaha
This is a great picture, because it totally captures Sophia's latest personality traits! She's gotten very confident...maybe even bossy at times! The kid has NO FEAR of speaking her mind. She's definitely going to be a leader, not a follower!
Back to the pinata...Carissa got in there and scrambled for candy when the pinata finally broke! For an almost-2-year-old, she really held her own!
