Nana's birthday, Father's Day and Auf Wiedersehen Uncle Carsten

Wow! So much to catch up on. June has been a busy month. First of all, have I shown you my new teeth?

One on the bottom...

...and two on top!

Thank goodness I did not have a hard time with teething - no pain, no fevers, no irritation...just my regular, smiley, mischievious self!

Early in June, we celebrated Nana's 30th birthday and Teah's 7th.

Did someone say mischievious? Yes, I'm gettin' around on all fours these days...watch out world!

...and I like to stand up too, when I can grab onto something to help me balance.

Looks like Emma was having as much fun as I was!

Nana reading one of her birthday cards...

Aunt Michelle, Joe and Jovi and Dad...

About a week later was Father's Day! I love my Daddy! He's usually the first person I see every morning and that makes me so happy! Whenever I hear his voice, no matter WHAT I'm doing, I crank my head and try to find him...even if I'm eating and REALLY hungry...I just like to see him! He's the best!

Cute...

Cuter!

Daddy celebrated Father's Day with Uncle Cliff, Ryder and Sebastian at a World Cup Soccer Match (US v. Barbados), but while he was gone, I celebrated with another father who loves me - Nino Akis!

I don't know how I ended up getting a present on Father's Day, but I did! Sophia brought me this doll that sings songs in Spanish! I love her!

..and I looooove my cousin Sophia!

But back to being mischievious...

I love to discover what is in a book

I also love to climb...

My mom says, if this isn't the look of trouble, she doesn't know WHAT is!

I just wanted to give him besitos!

Enough sweetness...what ELSE can I get into?

Whooops!
Onto the rocking horse...

Nice horsey...

After all that playtime, Mom says it's naptime...

Ha! That's what she thinks!

I learned to pull myself up and stand in my crib....it has become my own personal jungle gym. Who has time to sleep when you could be standing, sitting back down, rolling over, pulling your blanket over your head, sitting back up, standing again, etc.?

That night, we had a farewell dinner with Uncle Carsten at Houstons. Uncle Carsten is one of my favorites - he always came over and made silly sounds at me to catch my attention and make me giggle. Mom says those silly sounds are called German! ;-)

Mom also says that Uncle Carsten is a genius! He finished his PhD in Chemistry and wrote a dissertation on Oleds. Mom says, reading his dissertation made her feel dumb....and mom is definitely NOT dumb. =) I want to be as smart as Uncle Carsten someday. I'm starting off by practicing the word he kept trying to teach me over and over...hyyyyydrogen, so that the next time I talk to him on Skype, I can say it back to him. =)

I'm sad to see Uncle Carsten go...so is Daddy. I tried my best to charm him so that he would stay here with us, but apparently Nicole is a liiiiiiiittle cuter than I am. ;-) I hope that he is as happy as he makes me. Auf Widersehen Uncle Carsten! Besitos!
